1950 - Windsor Little League is founded Franklin PO Potter is President of WLL
All games are played at Loomis Chaffee School
1951 - Helmets in Little League become mandatory
Little League is formed in British Columbia, CA and in Panama, making the organization international
1953 - The Little League World Series is televised for the first time
1955 - Edgar Swain is President of WLL
1958 - Windsor American Little League is formed, creating two leagues in Windsor
1959 - New baseball fields are built at Clover Street School

WLL makes news in the Windsor News Weekly
Jim Lemon of the Washington Senators becomes the first MLB player to wear a helmet during a game
1961 -Hubert Kastner is President of WLL
1965 -Windsor Locks Little League wins the Little League World Series
1970 - Ralph Sheheen is President of WLL
John Lukens is VP of WLL
MLB enforces mandatory use of helmets
1973 - John Welch becomes mayor of Windsor
1974 - Girls are finally admitted to play with Little League International
1979 - Dunham Field is dedicated/renamed John R. Welch Park
2008 -50th Anniversary of Windsor American Little League
2011 -Windsor International Little League and Windsor American Little League combine to one league
2012 -Andrew Lattimer is President of WLL
2016 - The Hartford Yard Goats begin their first season in Hartford
2019 -Bloomfield Little League joins the Windsor Little League
2020 - Stephanie Famiano becomes the first female President of Windsor Little League
